Title: Creative assistant (Level 1)


Reports to: Owner/Creative Director and Operations Manager


Manages: Art and design projects


Salary Range: Starts at $12.50/hr but negotiable based on experience/skills


Position: Full-time job, some evenings required

We are a highly creative fast growing company that specializes in High-End Decorative wall installations: Venetian Plaster, Marmorino and other custom finishes; paintings, home furnishings, custom wall designs and other designs.





Job Description:


This position is entry level and promotion depends on length of employment, your contributions and company success. Position is perfect for a graduating art student, studio assistant or person with similar capacities who wants to start out learning and growing with our company.





Duties include but are not limited to:





Maintenance and organization of art materials (supplies, canvas, stretchers, etc.)


Color matching (must have extremely accurate eye for this)


Mixing plaster for job sites (color matching, consistency)


Checking color consistency of plaster from container to container


Brainstorming for art and design projects


Stretching canvas


Studio clean up (including work tables and painting area)


Deliveries/Errands for studio


General inventory of art supplies


Silk screening on canvas and vellum


Applique work (designing, cutting, gluing)


Organization of studio workspace





Job requirements:


Valid Driver's license


Willingness to travel


Must have a creative background (art school a plus but not required)


Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds and have art handling experience


Experience with Italian plasters a plus


Must have excellent communication skills
