ONLINE EDITORIAL PRODUCTION INTERN at WEJUSTGOTBACK.COM
Here is a terrific opportunity to get hands-on experience working for an up-and-coming family travel website. WeJustGotBack.com has been called "an authoritative voice on family trip planning" by The New York Times and was choosen by Yahoo! twice as a "New and Notable" site. Our articles appear regularly on MSNBC.com's Travel, Family Travel, and "Today Show" pages.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, self-starting writer/editor/researcher with basic knowledge of HTML coding to help produce content for the site. Responsibilities include:
*Factchecking and reporting
*Proofreading/copyediting
*Basic HTML coding to produce/edit/update web pages
*Photo sourcing and selecting
*Maintaining readers' comment pages
*Sourcing travel deals and loading into HTML
The intern can WORK REMOTELY from anywhere in the US, and hours are extremely flexible. Must have access to a computer or laptop with MS Word and HTML editing software (such as FrontPage). Editor will communicate with intern primarily via email. We will pass files to be edited (Word, HTML, jpeg, etc) back and forth as email attachments.
Intern duration: Sept-Dec 2007
Intern will be required to work approximately 7-15 hours per week.
Important: It is the applicant’s responsibility to set up this internship with his/her school if college credit is desired.
This is a great opportunity to break into online media. Co-founders of this website are media professionals with over 40 years combined experience in the industry and many contacts.
