dietOut is a neighborhood discovery tool that connects people to the hottest trends in their areas. We are looking for well written individuals to cover our Trend Spotting tour of New York’s Hottest Neighborhoods. Launched in partnership with Whole Foods in August, The Trend Spotting Tour is a series of events involving live bands, fashion, beauty, food, in the most original neighborhood setting.



Duties Include:



-Being extremely active on our blog



-Write stories about the Tour and identify the coolest local stars



-Take part in event planning and promotion



-Research and communicate with influential local business owners, artists, journalists,etc.



Requirements:

Must be fast, accurate, curious, and motivated to uncover the latest news about neighborhood trends -- and the people who create and continues to inspire them. This is a great opportunity to join as a staff writer, one of New York’s hottest internet start ups.



The Right Candidate Is:



* 20+ years old (will consider younger, but 20+ is preferred)

* A College or Graduate Students

* A good writer with a good sense of humor

* Health conscious

* Comfortable working online (one on one) with our brand grower

* Interested in technology and social networking sites (ex. my space)

* Computer literate (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and PowerPoint)
