The Foundation for Jewish Camping, recognized for the last two years by the Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies as one of the 50 most innovative Jewish organizations in the country, is a fast-growing public foundation dedicated to nonprofit Jewish resident camps. A recipient of more than $25 million in gifts in just the past few months, FJC is changing the landscape of the Jewish community by advancing program and leadership excellence to camps and access to vibrant Jewish experiences for campers. Working with more than 140 camps, 70,000 campers, and 12,000 counselors across North America, FJC is headed on an upward trajectory, rising higher each day.
The Operations Coordinator will play an instrumental role in supporting the growth of FJC and will be responsible for coordination and logistical support for all Foundation programs, events and activities. This position will work closely with all internal departments to provide guidance and support in the area of contracts and operational controls while adhering to specific budgets. In addition, the Operations Coordinator will manage the disbursement of grants for FJC’s community initiative programs. The Operations Coordinator will provide back-up the FJC controller and have responsibility for bank deposits, bookkeeping and A/P.

Position Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree preferred
•2 – 5 yrs of relevant work experience
•Prior experience in contract negotiations
•Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize
•Must be able to work under tight time constraints
•Team player with strong communication skills able to work with groups and individuals to meet organizational goals and objectives
•Candidate must have a positive attitude and be energetic, enthusiastic, and friendly
•Proven ability problem solve and be a self starter
•Must possess a strong degree of business acumen
•Proven organizational skills with extremely strong attention to all details and exceptional follow up skills
•Ability to work well in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
•Strong computer skills with expertise in QuickBooks, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet & a capacity to learn new systems quickly
•Knowledge of basic accounting functions such as A/P, A/R a plus
