Sell Market Research to Fortune 500 Companies: $140K

A world leader in providing market research information on E-Business, Online Marketing, and Internet Market Trends (comparable to a Bloomberg type service for internet marketing).
The Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business with major corporate accounts up to and including Fortune 500’s. The buyers are marketing executives, e-business strategists, market research professionals, financial analysts, etc.— executives who need to keep up on complex, ever-changing market intelligence, provided by this firm in the form of reports, subscriptions, events, etc. The Sales Representative will build on an established base of clients (75% of the business comes from growing existing accounts).
The first year compensation package includes a base salary of $70,000 plus at goal commissions of $70,000. In addition there is an attractive benefits package (medical, dental, 401K, three weeks of vacations, etc.). Typical average compensation growth for the sales staff is a first year $140,000, second year $200,000, fifth year $300,000.
Desirable background: a business development professional who has 3-5 years of experience in some aspect of online business, either in the marketing division or in sales, presenting or selling to sophisticated buyers (e.g., an ad agency business development executive who has worked on accounts with an online component; or a senior sales executive who represents an online marketing product or service or has sold to online marketing clients); or a media salesperson familiar with online marketing.
