Summary:

The Enterprise Solution Consultant (SC) is a field-based sales position and serves as a resource overlay to the general sales team. As an enterprise sales specialist, the SC assumes a lead role technologically during the sale.

The Solution Consultant will...

* Assess the client needs

* Craft appropriate solutions

* Ensure that the Gateway proposed solutions are comprehensive, achieving customer goals, and providing an outstanding customer experience.

* Work with the appropriate customer technical personnel, industry partners, and account team members to build relationships at various levels throughout the organization

* Ensure that the Gateway sales team understands and meets customers' on-going Enterprise solution needs.



Currently, Gateway enterprise solutions are sold in both the commercial (Mid-Enterprise) and Public (Education and Government) markets



Essential Responsibilities:

* Drive Enterprise revenue, margin and units to meet all Business Unit Goals.

* Assess Data Center issues and business problems in direct interaction with all levels of customer contacts, including “C” level, directors and managers.

* Understand Technology requirements dictated by “users” in the above environments.

* Design solutions to address the above

* Provide comprehensive consulting to drive proposed solutions to close

* Coordinate necessary resources to fulfill solution design and proposal requirements

* Provide technology detail in RFP; RFQ and Bids and Proposals

* Drive Solution Sales to close in partnership with Account teams

* Be able to drive acquisition/LOB acquisition sales in partnership with account teams

* Understand how to design, deliver, and present comprehensive technical solutions face to face, via electronic media or via any acceptable method to the client.



Education/Certification:

* 5+ years related work experience in a technical sales capacity &/or product management

* Extensive project management experience

* Ability to manage sales-level partnerships to compile a solution and pre-sale team necessary to win client business

* Superior team leadership capability

* Proven ability to drive the sale of technical solutions across a diverse customer set

* Proven ability to get work done through others

* Outstanding organizational agility

* Strong organizational skills

* Outstanding communication skills

* Must have sold technology-based solutions to the end user

* Knowledge of server, storage, and networking markets

* Sound working knowledge of the basic tool set: MS Office applications, Visio, etc.



Job Requirements:



The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities:

* Complete understanding of Server technology, Datacenter topology, Datacenter design best-practices and network infrastructure

* Comprehensive understanding of Storage Networking including SAN and NAS technology including iSCSI, and related technologies such as backup, replication, and recovery

* Extensive skills in designing solutions to support server and storage solutions including relative technologies such as Virtualization, client server applications, Replication etc.

* Ability to articulate and design solutions to support Disaster Recovery solutions including planning, testing and strategies.
