Primary responsibilities will include document management and maintaining corporate record books, performing factual research, creating various reports, drafting agendas and materials for meetings, serving as a client contact and responding to inquiries.


Major Duties and Functions Include:
Maintain document files and corporate record books
Draft, facilitate execution of and file corporate resolutions and other corporate governance related documents
Index and summarize documents
Maintain and/or modify databases
Contact outside counsel regarding accrued legal fees and prepare summary reports
Communicate with local counsel in the countries where MetLife operates and collect and report information for management in New York
Respond to information requests from clients, internal and outside counsel, regulatory authorities and other parties
Draft routine correspondence
Develop materials for meetings, including agendas
Format PowerPoint presentations and insert graphics
Perform narrowly defined legal research, including on-line searches, pursuant to specific direction
Perform factual research (e.g., excerpting information from files, compiling data, on-line searches, etc.)
Analyze findings and prepare written or oral summaries for attorneys
Review cases and coordinate all information, correspondence and files for assigned attorney.
Other paralegal tasks as may be determined by business need.
What You Need to Succeed:


College Degree
2+ years experience as a corporate paralegal
Legal assistant certificate preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills -
Ability to communicate across cultural and linguistic barriers
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, and Law Manager preferred
Ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple assignments & priorities
Must be detail oriented, well organized and have excellent time management skills
