A successful candidate for the Technical Analyst position will possess excellent communication, analytical, and technical skills.

• Be the technical point of contact for internal clients. Work as a team with technical, editorial, production, and business staff to create compelling software.
• Stay abreast of, research and learn about the latest technologies and seek to exploit them to their fullest.
• Work closely with the business stakeholders to define product vision and guide the technology team through the implementation.
• Create, review, and analyze functional and technical requirements for software development projects.
• Analyze software products to determine what is best suited for the business, including requirements gathering, RFP and statement of work preparation, feature set evaluation, onsite demos, and recommendations to executive staff.
• Develop content management strategies, documentation on new practices, and train staff in their implementation.
• Manage technical projects through traditional as well as agile methodologies.
• Generate reports and reporting requirements on a wealth of data.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve or route to the appropriate group for resolution.
• Manage vendor relationships and professional services engagements for software critical to the business.
• Provide guidance and support in unit testing and quality assurance for the technical aspects of projects.

Experience with the following technologies preferred:
SQL, UNIX, general Web/HTTP protocols.

Proficiency in any of the following technologies or a comparable product is useful:
Enterprise Software: Verity (search engine), Autonomy (search engine), Interwoven Teamsite (CMS software), Business Objects/Crystal Report (reporting tool), Visual Sciences (web metric/traffic tool).
Web Production: JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, PHP, AJAX, Flash, AIR, databases etc.
