these guys do rock.. Paul, though we had only spoken once, was very responsive to my every email.. Ladies, I know it is difficult to find trustworthy people, for a move. I was once left to find movers to replace my scheduled guys on the eve of my move..and there were the Russian guys who were going to cancel after they arrived and then held my heavy items hostage until I got them more money.. "yes, I have seen most of the dishonerable in NY"..So, to say I was fearful of this move from NY to NJ, is just a fraction of what I was feeling.
NOT any longer, Paul gave me name and contact number of my "man" and I called to leave word and my number Sat. night, when I heard nothing by 30 min. before arrival time, I called Paul (the first time we had spoke) he was off the phone in a flash and within 5min. my driver (not the same man) was calling and letting me know he was within 30min away.. I was impressed!! And Jasson and Josa arrved in that 30 min.. , kind, respectful, cleancut and halled ass!! We were packed and ready to go in less than an hour, they made it look so easy.. I do have to add that I had removed most of the smaller things in the weeks prior, but you know how it is..always so much more than you think.
We traveled from UWS to West NJ and even after arriving J & J were happy and not one uneasy moment.. They even helped remover a couch, my friend had, to the curb. My friend was pleased wtih how respectful they were of her home and I was very pleased with the price of my move I believe Paul is very fair in his fee and if your able to work around his schedule you will find him more than fair.
So, Ladies and gents.. Use these guys (two of my neighbors will be calling them, we lived in a dump;) when you use them remember not to be cheep to the men who work so hard, like Jasson and Josa.. Thanks again Paul.. God Bless LS
I was delighted by my purchase of two fab dressers off of Craigslist until it hit me that I have no friends agile enough to navigate the narrow stairs of the seller's duplex apartment with a 7 foot long solid wood dresser. So I went back to Craigslist and found NYcityVan. I sent an email at midnight and got a response from the owner, Paul, a few minutes later with a very reasonable quote. I emailed Paul the following morning to inquire as to whether it would be possible to schedule the move that same day - totally expecting the answer to be no. Lo and behold, I got a positive reply within minutes and three hours later, the very heavy dressers and a bunch of other stuff I decided to buy from the seller at the last minute were safely in their new home - mine ! Wonderful service - I recommend highly.
im terrified of using movers. lived in nyc for 13 years and only had to use movers once before. needless to say, i was traumatized then.
so ive never used movers again, but now that im getting up there in age and cant ask my adult friends to help me move, i found these guys on yelp.
there were easy to set up with thru email and worked around my terms and gave me options for hourly or flat. since i know moving pretty well i was able to estimate pretty well how long the job would take, so i opted for hourly.
they arrived within the window they gave me and even called over an hour ahead to let me know when to expect them exactly. they were on time and very good guys. wesley and sean were my movers. both were personable, intelligent, polite, and effecient.
thank you guys so much. just wish i hadnt cheaped out and taken you up on the offered extra hour. woulda saved me alot of pain finishing the job without your help!
A pleasant, professional and utterly stress free move. Devon and Wes were prompt, careful, efficient ----cannot say enough good things about them and about the company. Wish they also had a branch in Philadelphia where I live!!!
This was the first time we used ever used movers, and the experience was fantastic. They were friendly, relaxed and so efficient! They were careful with all of our things, and were incredibly patient while we were figuring out were to put things in the new apartment. Highly recommended!
i've used these guys 2 times. really nice and easy to deal with and they get the job done fast and well. they worked hard and moved lots of heavy stuff without any hassle. highly recommended
Andy and Taylor offered a completely stressless move for an incredibly reasonable price. They were clean, showed up on time, called to keep me posted on their arrival time, and were in good spirits the entire move (despite the 6th floor walk-up). I have already recommended them to my friends and will definitely use them for my next move.
