I was delighted by my purchase of two fab dressers off of Craigslist until it hit me that I have no friends agile enough to navigate the narrow stairs of the seller's duplex apartment with a 7 foot long solid wood dresser. So I went back to Craigslist and found NYcityVan. I sent an email at midnight and got a response from the owner, Paul, a few minutes later with a very reasonable quote. I emailed Paul the following morning to inquire as to whether it would be possible to schedule the move that same day - totally expecting the answer to be no. Lo and behold, I got a positive reply within minutes and three hours later, the very heavy dressers and a bunch of other stuff I decided to buy from the seller at the last minute were safely in their new home - mine ! Wonderful service - I recommend highly.
im terrified of using movers. lived in nyc for 13 years and only had to use movers once before. needless to say, i was traumatized then.
so ive never used movers again, but now that im getting up there in age and cant ask my adult friends to help me move, i found these guys on yelp.
there were easy to set up with thru email and worked around my terms and gave me options for hourly or flat. since i know moving pretty well i was able to estimate pretty well how long the job would take, so i opted for hourly.
they arrived within the window they gave me and even called over an hour ahead to let me know when to expect them exactly. they were on time and very good guys. wesley and sean were my movers. both were personable, intelligent, polite, and effecient.
thank you guys so much. just wish i hadnt cheaped out and taken you up on the offered extra hour. woulda saved me alot of pain finishing the job without your help!
A pleasant, professional and utterly stress free move. Devon and Wes were prompt, careful, efficient ----cannot say enough good things about them and about the company. Wish they also had a branch in Philadelphia where I live!!!
This was the first time we used ever used movers, and the experience was fantastic. They were friendly, relaxed and so efficient! They were careful with all of our things, and were incredibly patient while we were figuring out were to put things in the new apartment. Highly recommended!
i've used these guys 2 times. really nice and easy to deal with and they get the job done fast and well. they worked hard and moved lots of heavy stuff without any hassle. highly recommended
Andy and Taylor offered a completely stressless move for an incredibly reasonable price. They were clean, showed up on time, called to keep me posted on their arrival time, and were in good spirits the entire move (despite the 6th floor walk-up). I have already recommended them to my friends and will definitely use them for my next move.
