What a great puppy boutique! I stress the word "boutique" because this place is unlike any pet store I have been to. I purchased my maltipoo puppy "Stella" from RR over a month ago and she has been nothing but a joy. Wherever I go people ask me where I got her because of her unusual color. The store is clean, no doggy smells, the puppies look happy healthy and well kept. Some of the merchandise is expensive but unique. I decided to purchase my puppy here for a few reasons, mainly the cleanliness, overall condition of the puppies, her wonderful personality and dark red color. FYI If you are intending on purchasing a puppy you must sanitize your hands and the youngest puppies are not constantly handled by customers to reduce germs and stress. I found this to be a wonderful concept which makes me believe they only have the best intentions for their puppies. I highly recommend Raising Rover if you are looking for a great puppy experience. My baby Stella is my pride and joy!

my partner and myself purchased a great little french bulldog puppy on 9-11-10, "Jackson" is doing great. From the moment we brought him home he used the pee pads and never barks.Jackson does require plenty of playtime with us,we feel guilty when we leave him to go to work.A requirement for us was to call the breeder and we found her to be very caring about her puppy, this was a major concern for us.We tried to go to a breeder however we found them all to be nasty people with filthy dirty homes, Raising rover is a very clean store and we would tell anyone to feel safe here. I just think you should really think about how much work a puppy is before you bring one home.

The Truth About ICROBE"S REVIEW( AKA THE STORYTELLER)This customer is making her own reinactment of events. We never tell anyone all the breeders are local. That's a complete and total lie. She purchased a Coton puppy over a year ago and yes their was an issue.she forgets to tell you how we had the puppy for over 3 weeks in our boutique,She took her home within 24 hours she was ill.It is obvious that the puppy did become ILL from an outside source and not our kennel. The customer forgets to mention how she put the puppy in her brand new Designer Dog Carrier and went home****irregularities in the blood, made the vet ask if she got into toxins, how do we know the puppy didn't injest a stayfresh packet in the bag, amongst many other toxins in any surrounding.Irrate over paying any vet bill, we had our attending vet comp them(NEVER BEGGING).She survived and we paid the entire vet bill to the animal hospital and we even gave them a Refund of the purchase price, which is above and beyond what the NYS law promises. The customer visited the puppy in ICU, and even then was telling the vet what to do....( This customer knows everything). She even accuses us of using a picture of her puppy in some of our advertising, the picture is not even her dog, however we removed it just to make this customer happy. We do have adds( IT IS CALLED ADVERTISING), and they all state prices from the lowest price.Yes we do sell Cotons from $1600 - $2900. In reference to the DNA test, Once again this customer does not understand how it works. The test will show the make-up of any breed, wether pure breed or a mixed breed.Remember, all pure breeds evolved from other breeds, this is why a test shows more then one breed in any DNA test. It sounds harsh, but wether you buy a dog from a top breeder or a hobby breeder, they will offer you another pet if something happens to the present pet. The breeder, "Eve" who did breed the Coton puppy is now retired, but I did hear through the grapevine, This customer was so upset to find out that "EVE'S kennel was extremely nice. I guess if it were not nice This customer would have a jucier story.PS. she knows who our sources are. There are so many other stories and facts about what this person has attempted. WE'RE JUST GRATEFUL THE PUPPY IS OK

I will make this very clear while staying professional and not making personal attacks. The information below is purely a recitation of the facts. The owner of Raising Rover and Baby did tell me that the coton de tulear was from a local breeder in Long Island and not from Wheatland, Missouri. The dog was from a large-scale dog breeding facility also known as a puppy mill. This USDA "breeder" auctioned off more than 200+ dogs in 2009. I don't know who your source is, "through the grapevine" but can trust that they did not see all the pregnant dogs, numerous kennels, sundowner houses, wire cages that the dogs lived on and the filthy conditions that my dog was born into. I did! Furthermore, I did not leave the dog in your store for 3 weeks. I DID put the puppy in a Tory Burch dog carrier that I did not purchase from your store. Tory Burch, does not place silica gel packets in ANY of their dog carriers and they are more than happy to provide a signed affidavit of this. We received nothing but sub-par care from your "attending vet" and took her immediately from East Side Animal Hospital to NY Vet Specialists where she was admitted into the ICU. You did not pay our veterinary bill EVER! You DID refund the purchase price of the dog as is required under the New York State Puppy Lemon Law BUT only after we demanded you do so upon being apprised of our rights.

I bought a "very rare" coton de tulear puppy at this store (RR&B) after the owner promised me that the puppy was from a local breeder in Long Island. I knew what a puppy mill was and wanted to make sure that I was not investing in this industry. The owner convinced me and I purchased the dog ($2400) and the next evening the puppy began vomiting. I called the store who sent me directly to "their vet" who hydrated her throughout the day. Upon return her condition had deteriorated. She could not hold her head up, keep her eyes open or move. They sent her home indicating that I should bring her back in the AM as they didn't offer 24-hour care. I immediately took her to an emergency animal hospital as I didn't think she would make it through the night. She was immediately put in ICU where she stayed for 3 days. The store owner continued to call the hospital to try and get the puppy's care moved back to their substandard vet (cheaper) which I wouldn't allow. In ICU we discovered that the dog was NOT from a local breeder in NY but from a large-scale breeding facility (usually referred to as puppy mill) in Missouri. I spoke with the MO breeder who offered me a new "rare coton de tulear" once my puppy died as she had a new shipment of "rare coton de tulear's" coming to RRB in a few days. I declined and luckily little Zoey made it. This store also sells a LOT of puppies online in NJ, NY and CT. My puppy was advertised for $1600 online - found this out after the fact. But that whole "coton de tulear" thing - not true. I had a DNA test done and unfortunately RR&B duped me again. Please avoid this business! Do not buy puppies or merchandise here. Don't learn the hard way like I did.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH RAISING ROVER & BABY WAS NOTHING LESS THAN A DE
LIGHT. WE PURCHASED A HAVANESE, THE TWINS NAMES HER TWILA. JEFF WAS MOST INFORMATIVE AND DIRECTED US TO OUR PERFECT LIFE LONG COMPANION. NOT ONLY DO THEY HAVE A VARIETY BAR NONE TO ANY OTHER ESTABLISHMENT, THEY ALSO HAVE THE MOST EXQUISITE NOVELTIES I HAVE SEEN IN THE CITY. WE ADORE OUR LITTLE TWILA AND R&R FOR MAKING A PERFECT MATCH.

I purchased my two beautiful dogs from Jeff and Frankie 2.5 years ago and I couldn't be happier. The store is always clean and the pups all look happy and healthy. I have found the staff to be very nice and knowledgeable. Whenever I have a question I don't hesitate in calling them and they are always happy to help. I send everyone who is looking for a puppy up to Raising Rover because there is no better place in NYC .

DO NOT BUY A DOG OR PUPPY FROM RAISING ROVER on LEXINGTON! The owner Jeff is a liar and intentionally misrepresents his puppies and the breeders. My wife and I were duped into buying a full sized bulldog after he advertised and explained how she was a hybrid breed, a minature bulldog. He explained in detail the differences b/w the two breeds and how the dog would only get to 25lb-30lbs. She is close to 40lbs and is only 9months old. The vet and the breeder confirm she is a full size bulldog. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE NICE STORE FRONT or his claim of being the business for 25 years. Jeffrey Silverstein, the owner, is a liar and had the nerve to tell me when I confronted him that he said she was just a small bulldog and he would never have said she was a mini (after he told me to my face and my wife how this was a "real mini" and I shouldnt be tricked by other places claiming to have minis).

I have no agenda but to prevent others from purchasing a dog under false guise. Please do not buy a dog from Raising Rover & Baby.

We tried to explain to this customer that this puppy was a very small bulldog. SHE IS ONLY 36 pounds. If you look, sizes for the"mini bulldogs" are 20-40 pounds. The customer doesn't understand "hybrid". It means a mixed breed, we sold him a registered, Pedigree bulldog. The customer paid $2950,a very fair price for any bulldog. We contacted our breeder and of course she NEVER spoke with this client. Let me say we would have tried to make the buyer happy, HOWEVER he just yells at us. The puppy is very healthy and was healthy from the time they purchased her.We wish him only the BEST !!!

After reading all the reviews online for RR. We went to the Raising Rover yesterday to know about French Bulldog that we are looking to buy for this September 2009 when we get a dog friendly apartment and for our surprise Jeff and his staffs are very customer oriented very helpful nice and know about their dogs. I have been to 5 different pet stores in NYC and trust me i have seen puppies in cages which are dirty and puppies look so unhealthy. I'm really looking forward to buying frenchie from RR. Hope Jeff has cute nice frenchie puppy for me come this september,so i can write more about the whole experience. But for now with their friendly environment and great customer service I highly recommend this place.

Fabulous groomer. I get my havapoo, Lily, groomed here and she is so happy when I come to pick her up and the groomer Vanessa is really kind to her, despite L's occasional biting!
